With its interlocking joins the table symbolises a relationship between business partners of equal power within a meeting but with different tastes. The two sides allow individuality in style (materials). The upwards curving joins are not high enough to block vision of the opposite person but allow privacy of documents on the table and also symbolise the often edgy relations of the corporate world. Both clients have left and right hand chairs as neither client enters meetings alone. Yin has her family and Jobs has his executives and vice-presidents.
